We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a proven track record. The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the organisation, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in workflow and processes. They will lead, direct, and manage the operational teams, collaborating closely with other department heads to ensure the business’s goals and objectives are met. The role includes multiple entities in healthcare, property and technology to provide World Class Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Efficiency: Introduce & Measure key performance indicators. Oversee the production and delivery of products/services to ensure they meet quality standards and are delivered on time. Streamline and optimise operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Analyse key operational metrics to gauge performance and facilitate areas of improvement.
- Team Management and Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate operational teams to meet set objectives and targets. Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to develop a high-performing operational team. Foster a positive working environment, promoting open communication and encouraging feedback.
- Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Work with management to develop operational strategies aligned with the business’s goals. Forecast requirements, prepare budgets, schedule expenditures, and ensure that the operations department stays within the allocated budget. Assist in setting strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
- Resource Management: Manage and procure resources, ensuring tools, equipment, and inventory levels are maintained for uninterrupted operations. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials or services.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with legal and company regulations. Develop and implement best practices, policies, and procedures. Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with other department heads to ensure the alignment of business activities. Report to senior executives on operational activities and performance. Serve as the primary point of contact for addressing operational issues or concerns.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest trends in operational management to bring innovative ideas to the company. Implement best practices and standards for operational excellence. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the operations team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field. Master’s degree or an MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in an operational management role or similar.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and operational software (like ERP).
- Exceptional leadership and organisational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
